Josephine has been training under Jessica Williams at Hunter Haven Stables since she was nine years old. She has competed in IEA for the past several years and was the 2023 National Champion for the varsity intermediate over fences at 2′. Josephine has been to Pony Finals twice- once on a medium and once on a large green. She also competed in the Marshall & Sterling / USEF Pony Medal both years.

In 2021, she qualified her medium pony for the USHJA Pony Derby Championship. This past summer, Josephine was able to qualify and take her young green horse, Romano, for Junior Hunter Finals in the larges at 3’3. Romano is currently recovering from E.P.M, which has slowed them down a bit, but she is working to qualify him again for Junior Hunter Finals at 3’6 and for the Gladstone Medal for 2024. Josephine is also training a small green pony as a project and teaching beginner riders.

Josephine’s show schedule for the next month includes Tryon 5 and a Chattahoochee Hills “A” show at the beginning of November. She will be showing Romano in the 3’3 / 3’6 Juniors and will continue to compete at IEA shows with her school’s equestrian team throughout the winter.
